Thanks for your visit!
On this channel I share my creations and I also make sometimes helpful (for some people) video's on software that I use.
I do this mostly when I run into a snag of a software package and I find a solution that usually isn't found easily otherwise.
This way other filmmakers get some help and I have a place to look for myself if I ever forget how to fix it.
If you ever come across something you like or that helped you in any way, I would be more than happy if you could leave a like or even subscribe to my channel. For you it's a click on your mouse, for me it really makes a difference.

You hear a lot of RUclipsrs say that RUclips changed their lifes. That's quite a statement and even though they have the best intentions by saying so, it is not quite true. Its not Lie nux. Thename has a lower vowel sound, so its Lin nux
Thanks
how to make it full screen though, like I don't want those vertical blacks bars on 2 sides!!!
You can always adjust the aspect ratio to your liking in the video tab of the inspector.
Thank you!
thanks
You are right, and I’m sick of hearing female ‘comedians’ talk about their vaginas and periods. Bore off! It ain’t funny.
The jab attacked the funny bone.
Spot on brother.
Femininity, masculinity and politics. If you can't make a joke without them, you aren't funny.
My Wife is listening to you and is now OUTRAGED!!!!! by your comments. She says we are all entitled to our opinions and views, but there are limits! Never! Never suggest that Fozzie the Bear isn't funny! Peace.
thank you very much! I had that problem..
Glad it helped!
I don't or won't make people laugh much in person at all anymore. It's too risky. We've groomed and conditioned a mass culture into believing that it's not OK to laugh at ourselves. Instead, everything personal in nature is subject to being interpreted as an insult or worse, a prejudicial attack. The precise opposite of what a good comedian is actually doing, which is unifying people through the open verbal and physical reflection of our volatile and often absurd human condition, good or bad. Losing our rich comedic outlet, being able to laugh out loud at ourselves until our guts ache, is one of the most universally harmful things I've witnessed from humanity. We've lost our way through a thick haze of selfishness, personal greed, and extreme focus on the individual over the human group as a whole. If you try to help, you just might get slapped -- or worse. People just aren't into funny anymore. Not if it involves them.
Comedy has gone woke and it just isnt funny anymore You have to turn to the established comedians who are to big to be cancelled Anyone who is up and coming now has to be wary of being cancelled before they have even started their career
Women comics are not good. There really isn't too much more to say. They are just not good.
Here in Australia it seems like most of the female comedians on tv are unfunny lesbians. Mind you, one of my favourite Aussie comedians is Geraldine Hickey who is a lesbian.
This is showing good Common Sense. Thanks. I like the straight to the point Davinci Resolve videos. Thanks again.
All your thoughts make sense to me. It has been an interesting walk and talk!
Thx you
First here 😂🎉
I couldn't find the solution for this, I had no idea it was the color space... Thank you
Nice addition to the recent thumbnails there BTW
Glad you like them!
After you take the break revisit masters like ricky gervais or george carlin eg. other timeless acts like that. Never get old and jokes only get better with time like wine
You sound almost exactly like comedian Henning Wehn. Have you heard of him?
Never heard of him.
I love you
MERCI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jup i see a friend not wanting to get out of bed or shower. i know instantly that he needs extra attention and care.
The most lightweight distro available nowadays, out of "good" ones, is Puppy. It pretty much should fly even on a potato. Try doing that.
Cinnamon is "desktop environment", or "DE" for short. It's based off of/forked from GNOME, though it differs from default "vanilla" GNOME quite substantially. Cinnamon project separated from GNOME decades ago, so nowadays it doesn't have nearly anything in common with GNOME, neither visually nor functionally. There are many different kinds of DEs, and, yeah, it's pretty much just the layout design and order of things, size of bars, folder icons, buttons, and etc, how the system looks in overall. For example, everyone knows how a typical Windows 7 layout looks, with it's glass-like semi-transparent strips in opened windows and tabs. That's Windows 7's Aero DE. Meanwhile, Windows 8's DE was reworked drastically, to accommodate for the mobile/touch screen interface craze/fad that was ongoing at the time (which a lot of people hated). And Windows 11's DE is basically copy-pasta/trace off of usual MacOS desktop environment, which Apple been using for decades by now. Some of the DEs are very beloved and have solid fan bases (Cinnamon, XFCE and KDE Plasma are ones of such), while others are heavily despised and outright vehemently hated (default GNOME and GNOME Unity, Ubuntu MATE, for one) by the majority in the global Linux user commune. As for software package managers, or "SPM" for short, programs that handle application installation and running inside of your OS (they determine how the downloaded software is being unpacked and installed, and how it runs in your system, which might differ quite drastically from one package manager to other, including stability and performance), currently the most beloved ones are FlatPak and Pacman (exclusive to Linux Arch distro's ecosystem, gotten via Aur - "Arch User Repository", Arch-exclusive community operated and maintained repository), and most heavily hated is Ubuntu's proprietary "Snap" ecosystem.
Thank you very much for this detailed explanation!
welp you saved my ass.
Pretty good stuff, I just realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's crazy! Although what he previously talked about was pretty decent, it was difficult to follow, I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!
One thing about Linux based operating systems when compared to Windows or Mac OS, is that the Linux Kernel is built first and foremost as a terminal based (command line in Windows parlance) system. That core kernel is designed with a specific philosophy about computing in mind, and as a result many programs not only feel more satisfying to use, they often actually work better and offer more functionality, when interacting with them in a terminal environment, instead of a desktop with a mouse. The Desktop Environment is like a cloth stretched over the terminal, with holes and fraying exposing the mechanics underneath, and often requiring some degree of tinkering to make work. Distros that often have a good desktop user experiences have a tendency to be more bloated, but more polished, needing better hardware to run smoothly. I understand you're looking to run DaVinci Resolve, so wading into the terminal is fully not the direction you're interested in going. While Rocky Linux is likely a good bet for DaVinci based on your findings (I've personally never tried it), I wanted to highlight that the things it sounds like you're looking for, a graphically responsive, familiar, and intuitive computing experience, while those are reflections of the Distribution's choices in terms of kernel changes and which programs and approaches the creators chose, they're MORE often representative of how the Desktop Environment that distribution uses is configured, and the graphics drivers available since due to licensing restrictions you often have to install these after the initial setup. POP uses a customized GNOME desktop, like many popular graphical distributions. Other notable DE's like GNOME include KDE, KDE Plasma 5, Cinnamon, and XFCE, each with various pros and cons and somewhat unique feels to them. Many distributions with the same DE often provide similar user experiences, at least in terms of the metrics I think you're looking for, and some even have multiple versions with different DE's available for download. If you find an experience that feels good to you, you might want to see if other distributions come with that same DE. XFCE is known for being lightweight and running well on older hardware, but to many users it feels more like something from the Windows XP era than Windows 7.
thank you, you saved me at least few hours :D
Keep up the good work brother.
I am so proud you dont vape/smoke anymore! You are so strong and intelligent. Beat the urge and nostalgia to smoke, you have to try enjoying and romantising different stuff, like food or travelling and more! ❤
Pog
Nailed it. It's important to get out of the house every once inawhile.
Try Linux Mint XFCE on that old computer.
I will give that a go as well.
